I've seen that video. There's a point near the end where she got really flustered (BTW, although my sound quality isn't good, I'm 99.9% sure that she's American), saying ohmigod....I hate.....(something) Not angrily, but you could see that she's starting to get a bit overwhelmed by all of the attention. Also, a little more than halfway through, you see her reach behind her suddenly, and I suspect that a guy standing in the background wearing a grey zipper sweatshirt made a grab for her ass. After he stepped in to have a picture taken, she said something to her guy that I couldn't catch. I'm not a mind reader, but I'm going to guess that she's not a born exhibitionist, and not deliberately displaying the goods by standing. I would guess that either the seat isn't comfortable, or she feels that she has better control over the bike while standing. Ride like this can be fun, but they can also be a pain in the ass in the figurative sense. Most of the people are riding cruiser type bikes. Quite a few look to be rentals from Barclay's. Most have the seat set way too low. Everyone rides slow. If you're used to riding 15-20 mph on the roads, you can't ride this event that way. I've done a few charity rides, which are very crowded at the start, and you tend to have to pick your way around the slowpokes. I stand up a lot when I have to do this. You may notice, also, that she has toe clips on her pedals, which allow you to get better leverage on the pedals, and make standing even easier. Your foot isn't going to slide off the pedals when your toes are all the way in the clips.
Speculation? Given her young age, and American accent, she's probably a student studying abroad. Many of the shots I've seen are total candids, when she doesn't seem to be aware of being photographed. Despite the obvious sexuality she has, there's still an air of innocence about her. I'm not so sure that she realized what an international internet celebrity she'd become when she agreed to do the ride with her guy, and I would think that might explain why there was no do-over in 2012.
