After a second in which I looked at her and she at me, the other actors and actresses in the audience began applauding loudly and I noticed the two women in the wings jumping up and down. One of them brought me the most scratchy bath robe I ever had and the lights came back up once more.
The manager loved her performance and began to speak to her about doing her show on a regular basis. My performance, not so much, and since I would have faced charges being caught there, I did not have any problems being replaced by one of the other actors.
