You see, if someone has the money you paid for something, and the merchandise, that is considered theft. If a credit card was used, it is considered credit card theft. the simple fact of it is, a phone call to the Attorney General confirmed my belief that if a merchant will not refund your money in a proper manner, they have violated the law and may be subject to having their butts sued and possibly prosecuted.
End result, I walked out of the store with my purchases, a $40 gift card, and the lady who started the stuff sitting in the office while a district manager was deciding her fate. I charged them $20 an hour for my time.
