Default Black Bike Week Part 1

I'm gonna change things up for a spell. I've been posting mostly what most people consider Harley Davidson or, excuse me, caucasian events. As I've mentioned in one of these threads, I attend many bike events. I go to 'Myrtle Beach Bike Week' each year, usually the 2nd and 3rd weeks in May. And I usually stay over for the following week which was previously called 'Black Bike Week' but now more commonly called 'Bikefest'.

'Bike Week' is primarily a Harley event with happenings all along the coast from North Myrtle Beach(Cherry Grove) to Murrells Inlet in the South. The Harley riders usually bring their Ol' Lady and spend a lot of time drinking, cruising, and engaging in biker games. The women flash their tits a lot and the men like to show off their bikes. There's usually 200,000-250,000 in attendance but it's really hard to tell. The event runs 2 weeks and some people come for only the first week and leave after the middle weekend. Others prefer the second week.

'Bikefest' is focused on the few days preceeding and including Memorial Day. The bikers are primarily Black and ride mostly crotch rockets. The center of activity is Atlantic Beach, SC, a small, historically Black owned beach located between Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach, 17 miles North of Myrtle Beach, and separated from North Myrtle Beach(formally Crescent Beach) by a fence. Wikipedia says Atlantic Beach is 2/10's of a square mile in size. It's 3 small blocks wide at Hwy 17 and runs about 6 small blocks down to the ocean. Despite it's small size the crowds are huge. It's considered to be the 3rd or 4th largest bike rally in the world with 350,000 average attendance. Needless to say, most people have to stay at the surrounding beaches. To make things worse, many businesses close during the event. Traffic on Hwy 17 is a a mess. Each year they bring in law enforcement from all over the state just to control traffic flow. They usually don't try to do anything about the riders doing burn-outs and popping wheelies. A lot of riders buy bikes 2 days prior to Memorial Day with a small down payment and return them the 3 days later. The riders usally travel alone, without women. The women come down in groups in cars, Expeditions, Navigators, BMW's, etc., sometimes rented. The women will hang around gas stations, parking lots, or just sit on the curb beside the road, waiting for a guy to stop and offer them a ride. At 'Bikefest' it's all about 'flash'(meaning money) and the 2 'B's', bikes and butts. Thongs are illegal at Myrtle but not at Atlantic. The girls will usually wear booty shorts hiked up or thongs with a thin veiled wrap. The women with the most booty get the most rides. If you stand in one place you'll often see the same girl on different bikes.

I'm gonna post a lot of pics, probably 400 or so, from the event. Many of them will be clothed and just regular street pics that could be posted anywhere. But I'd like for you to get a feel for the event. If you'd like more info about the history of 'Bikefest' go here: hxxp://www.blackbikeweek.us/2010/12/black-bike-week-the-whole-story/

Some of the pics are early scans from photos. Also some are from car mounted or motorcycle mounted cameras. Hope you enjoy. BTW, some of the pics were posted over a year ago in the 'Girls on the back of Bikes' thread but I've included them plus others that could have been posted there in order to give you a more comprehensive view of the event.
