In the past, the US subsidiary of the Dutch ING bank was the main sponsor of this event and like a majority of the Dutch (including myself  ) they were very tolerant about the public nudity in the event.
But recently the Dutch ING bank had to sell this division (ING Direct) in order to get a green light from the European Union Commission to recieve financial support.
I can imagine that some company's will not be associated with events with public nudity in it.

It hasn't been The ING Bay to Breakers for a couple years. It was the Zazzle Bay to Breakers this year. People still got naked. It was fine.
