I totally understand those who renames the pics a little. Remove a number here or there, just enough to make it impossible to search for who the girl is.
But i also agree with some or your points, many pics in this thread doesn't seem to be from Facebook at all.

Its an unspoken rule here that no one contacts the girls - not only is it creepy, but it discourages posting more of said images.
If someone is bright enough to know how to find the profile from the image file name, I'm sure they are bright enough to know it's not clever to contact the girl.
Also, Facebook has rolled out a new image format that means that if the image is set to private, you can't find the profile like you could before, so it is impossible to find out anything if the girl has set it to private.
Finally, it is good to see where the image has come from on facebook - if it has been posted on a "lad" page, or from a bar for example, whilst it is a nice picture then it's just the same as a porn site really.
The personal element - both having a name to the picture, and knowing all her friends have seen the picture is what makes finds so hot.
