your reply was not just your 2 cents. It was amazingly hostile, or at least a serious overreaction. No deceit is intended no deceit is possible by posting the original with a cite as I did. If you are insulted by someone possibly doing something interesting with your original work, that to me seems small minded. I have learned a lot by people showing me how I can improve my photos and stories. There was no intent to steal anyone's work.

I have seen stories I wrote reposted by others with the reposter claiming authorship. That is wrong. To claim others work as your own is wrong. I can understand being pissed off if someone is trying to steal your work, however if someone used my story as a departure point or even posted my story with credit and then posted a version they felt was more interesting I would be interested in reading it. Someone else might see how I could have done a better job. I could then agree that those aspects would have improved it or rejected those aspects as ruining my story. I would be interested in reading it though, if I was credited.

That's how I learn.

You don't know anything about my level of ability or talent. "If you've got free time, I'd suggest you grab a camera and go out and shoot some pics before cold weather sets in. That way you can compose the pics just the way you want them and really show off some skills." Was that really called for? It had nothing to do with the question in my post. Personally I think it was an attempt to say I have no talent.

just because you can crop doesn't mean you can crop well, either artistically or to make a photo a little more interesting.

Finally it was just idea of how people can have some fun and add to the board. People on this board might be disabled, or shy, or don't have a good camera, or a myriad of other reasons and this could be a way to include them.

Still why so hostile?
Wow. I didn't mean to strike a nerve, nothing hostile about it. I just posted four lines of an opinion. I thought that was what your inquiry was about. Even though I'm not a moderator, as a poster of original stuff, I thought that my opinion may be of value. I'm 65 now so I don't 'collect' much porn anymore. But I have in the past and I can tell you that there's a HUGE amount of stuff, even on this site, that has already been cropped and resized. There's stuff here from Suicide Girls', 'Alsscan', 'Nebraska Coeds', 'Public Flash', 'Voyeur Web', 'FTV', etc. Who's to blame? I'm not going to point fingers at anyone. Maybe it was the person that posted the picture here that cropped it. But it's just as likely that he found the picture elsewhere already cropped and posted it here thinking he was making a legitimate contribution. People save porn to their computers and then repost it elsewhere. While you have no ill intentions, if you post it someone here will 'save' it and it will later get reposted either elsewhere or maybe in another thread here. Do you think that anyone that saves a copy of your cropped version will make a note that it is a cropped version? Again, I never meant to insinuate that you had any ill intentions. But there's loads of cropped material out there. And that is deceit, initiated somehow, somewhere, by somebody, and perpetuated through the internet over and over again. About the 'grab a camera' comment, maybe I should have added a 'smiley' face. I didn't mean to infer that you had no talent. The intent was hoping that you'd find some new material to contribute here.

I'm sorry that you took my opinion so personal. Peace.
