note the name
Soulac is my username for a reason. It's where my wife first went nude on a nude beach. Actually, that's where we were staying on that vacation. Techniclly she went bare in Vernon-sur-Mer.
The SW coast of France is much less developed than the riviera along the med. It has nice beaches, but only the ones near towns (they are all small towns) have ammenities/shops. Those beaches tend to be textile. If you go out of town a little, or walk along the beach for a while you'll come to quite stretches where you can go nude. While they aren't technically nude beaches, it is tolerated because there are so many naturiste resorts along the coast that everyone is used to it.
Just south of Soulac, at Grayan, is Euronat. I spent the day there. It has a nice spa facility (not as extensive as in Germany but still nice), about ten shops on site including a convenience store, bakery, beach equipment, etc. They have a pool and plenty of beach. Continuing south there is also Montolivet just a few miles from Euronat. A little farther south is La Jenny which is famous for it's nude 9 hole golf course. One can rent housing at any of these locations.
This part of France is very beautiful. It is a good spot for those who want to relax and rest. It doesn't have the vibrant nightlife that leaves you waking up wondering what happened the night before. If you want that then go elsewhere. It's much more of a read a good book, rent a bicycle type vacation.
I hope that helps.
