Here are two blog posts that I don't think have been posted before. The third is an excellent video of a nervous newbie in the nude (it's a year old so maybe I'm behind the times and everyone has already seen it). I also have three short personal stories that I'll add here. I hope they're not too long.

Story 1: My first time at Gunnison I was leaving after a wonderful day. I was almost to the restrooms when a short black woman with beautiful corn rows in a one piece bathing suit and a wrap asked me where the nude beach was. (If she had walked another 50 yards she would have seen the first signs.) In case she had any embarassment in asking that question I wasn't going to let her off the hook I said, "Excuse me?" requiring her to repeat the question. Only then did I tell her it was just off to the right and that it was my first time here and I had a great time and she would enjoy herself. I then asked if she had ever been to a nude beach before. She said she had never been here before. Which I knew, otherwise she wouldn't have asked for directions, but I didn't want to sound creepy and ask a second time about her frequesnting other nude beaches so I don't know if she was completely new to nude beaches. So as she left she confirmed that she had to, "bear right." I smiled wide and replied, "Yes, quite literally you want to BARE to the right." She laughed out loud at that, but with a little nervousness in her laugh, and continued on her way. I was leaving so I don't see if she went completely skin to the wind.

Story 2: Early one season I was at Gunnison and I was set up near a couple. The woman was last 20's or early 30's, blonde, quite pale and completely shaven. At one point I saw her laying on her stomach and taking pictures of her bare bottom with her ipod so I thought this might be her first time nude on a beach. My hunch was confirmed when a late 40's early 50's woman who was set up near them returned from a run on the beach and stripped down again. She started talking with the couple and as they introduced themselves the guy outed his girl. He told how he had been there before, but she was a rookie. His girl gave him a smack on the arm. Clearly she was embarassed others now knew this was the first time she put her buns in the sun. The runner replied that now was a good time for a first time because it was early in the season and everyone was pale (although she herself wasn't).

Story 3: This experience occured in a sauna facility in Germany. I was in a mixed gender part of the locker rooms and saw a couple with two kids walk in with a single woman (early 40's brunette) with two kids. They got themselves organized, with the single woman keeping her black bikini on, and they set up in a resting room. I went into the first aufguss (the hourly pouring of water on the stones and circulating the hotter air with a towel) but they didn't. I was back at my locker to get money for the cafe when I see a black bikini-clad bottom pushing the door open that conects the sauna area from the non-nude pool area. She was using her backside to open the door because she was struggling with two cups of coffee in her hands. Once she crossed the locker room I pushed the door open for her to go into the area containing the saunas and resting rooms. I told her there was also a cafe in the sauna area, she didn't have to go to the pool. She thanked me and explained she didn't know that because this was her first time there. At that point I had only seen her in her bikini, but about a half hour later I saw her sitting with her feet in a basin of water. She was showing it all. Her bush was untrimmed, but naturally thin - not real bushy. As the day wore on I saw her in and out of the saunas and had the opportunity to shower next to her. She always had a smile on her face but it always got brighter when we made eye contact because of the help I gave her earlier. Late in the day she entered the sauna for the aufguss, but did so too soon. The aufguss had barely started when she could no longer take the heat and made a hasty exit. That's a faux pas in sauna society, but no one complains because safety is paramount. Once the aufguss was over, I was coming out of the shower area when she walked by and smiled at me sheepishly. I commented, "It was too hot for you."
"Yes. I'm not used to it, this is my first time in a sauna. My friends invited me," she replied.
"Do you like it?"
"Yes, I do, but it's hard getting used to."
"Was it also hard to be naked?" I asked as we stood facing each other, both completely on display.
"Yes, at first," she responded.

A little later, I entered the locker room in my robe and I saw her dressed in jeans and a nice top about to leave. We started talking again. She told me that it was really relaxing and that she would come back maybe once a month or so.
