Default Bluefly commercial

Heads up for this one!!!!

An online retailer is showing some skin in its latest advertising campaign. And it has some media companies shaking their heads.

Bluefly.com is causing a stir among cable television broadcasters and print publications for showing partial nudity.

The ads are meant to depict the frustration of having nothing to wear. And so it goes that they feature a woman, standing in a closet, wearing nothing.

Lifetime and Oxygen – cable networks largely geared toward a female audience – have raised issues with the retailer's 30-second spot. Oxygen said it would only air the ad after midnight and Lifetime has refused to run it at all....

The ad, which is set to launch on Oct. 19, is one in a series of planned spots showing an undressed woman examining her wardrobe.

Bluefly provided a censored print ad for magazines Real Simple and In Style – both owned by Time Inc. – after the original was rejected. Vogue, Lucky and Harper's Bazaar agreed to run the uncensored version....

Bluefly said it is still negotiating with Lifetime and other networks but will air the original ad on its Web site...

[It's not yet on their website....keep looking for it though!!!]
