My new office building is a historic Brownstone building in a historic & trendy area of downtown and we are located right next door to an upscale / boutique / high-dollar hotel. Floors 5,6, and 7 in my building are currently unused, except for storage, and the windows (6 per floor across the side of the building) are covered with black plywood which is cut to shape and mounted from the inside. This was done by the previous tenant. We are separated from the hotel next door by a very narrow alley, and from the windows on the top 3 floors of my office, I can see a majority of the hotel's rooms next door. I am less than 6 feet from the windows, maybe closer.

Of course, I have figured out ways to "keyhole" this plywood so I can remove small pieces in order see out discretely! I suppose most guests are not too concerned about being seen through these side windows facing my building, since their windows face the alley and are well above the street level, and my building looks very unassuming and non-descript with the windows covered and no other features on the side facing the hotel.

Each hotel room has a window or 2 facing the street and then this large window facing my alleyway, so often this window facing my office is left with the blinds open, and when this happens I can see directly into the bedrooms. Some of the views I have been enjoying are amazing, both day & night. Also, due to the way the street slopes, my rooftop is slightly higher than rooftop of the hotel and the top 2 rooms of the hotel each have a private rooftop pool, deck, and outdoor lounge area. I have to be a little more careful up on the roof, but there are two areas on my roof where I can easily hide and enjoy views of the private pools and decks without being seen - especially at night. The things I have seen up here are amazing as well.

Basically, on any given night, I can bet on being afforded a a great view (sex, nudity, dressing, bathing, showering, you name it...), and weekends are almost a sure thing as far as seeing people having sex. The hotel is very popular, very romantic, and my record is 4 different couples in one night all going at the same time! The place was rocking that night (about a month ago!) Obviously, I have been working a lot of nights and weekends! Hah!
