Here are a few more that I stumbled across on a Tumbler Blog From Collins beach @ Sauvies. Wood on the beach related. I like this set because it is pretty blatant. middle of the afternoon right in the middle of the beach.

you can see in the second pic about where they are and that there are others nearby. There is an older guy or two that do this fairly regularly there. I've photographed one of these guys once or twice but the pic quality here is ten times higher.
