My video has camera stopped recording to it's HD card and all this afternoon's shots are corrupted. I put an old smaller card SD in place this evening and it seems it is the new 8 gig SDHC card, not the camera thats broken, which is a relief, I suppose I just do not know if I can get a replacement SDHC card locally very quickly...or cheaply!

Try to load the video card on a computer. Whenever I have had a hard time getting a video or a hard drive to load, I have had good luck using Linux OS, but often that was to view Hard drives.
