I suppose a stomping is a possibility, lol. I purchased a brand new HD cam recently for about $100, and it has nearly as long a zoom as yours. We should actually be about even because while I've heard of a 52x zoom, it's not all optical. I am not aware of an HD camcorder that goes that high.

My camera does have a 52 x Optical zoom, because if I added the digital aspect it goes to 64 x zoom! Here is the model, if anyone want to try their hand! It's about 200 $ U.S at the moment, but prices in Europe are always about 30% higher than the USA.
