Recently I was at a party at Pam's. The giggles got to giggling in the kitchen always a good sign. I asked what they where giggling about and the two young one's looked coy and shy. Pam explained that I knew all about her adventures and it was safe to tell me. Still they looked very ensure of this so Pam told a story to make them feel at easy.

I think this story happened in the 1980's.

Pam was in France and the French ground staff where threatening industrial action. One day they where getting ready to leave when it was announced that industrial action would begin in one hour. The captain and purser went off to persuade appropriate people to let them slip through quickly. The captain arrived back aboard with the ground chief and female worker. The captain told the cabin crew that it had been agreed they could leave quickly but only if they lightened the load. Crew looked puzzled but picked up on the pursers body language which was very unusual shy and quiet. The load lightening was supervised by the female worker, all panties had to be removed. Pam never did get that pair back.

Then Pam's two young friends explained. The giggling was because they had told Pam about the recent problems in Greece. The strikes and protests resulted in them being stuck on the ground and the first officer needed to get home. After a little pleading the ground staff agreed to allow them clearance to fly but not until the female crew agreed to pay "The Austerity Blues Tax".

The crew reluctantly agreed payment after various promises where made by the first officer in thanks for the girls co-operation.

The four girls found themselves in the GM's office without their uniforms. The girls had had to show off their underwear. The two at the party, late 20's and early 30's where wearing thongs, white and red respectively with white bras. The GM said the bras spoiled the look and they had to come off. The girls stood around topless arms folded across then had to go out onto the hanger floor and show all the guys. Then they had to walk across the canopy a short distance and up to the control deck to show the control staff. They made the other two girls remove their bra's as well. The girls had to fly without their upper structure support.
