Comment and Questions
Comment: The rules, by and large, are well considered and necessary to protect the site. Got no, I repeat, NO complaints. The admins are quick while being generally polite but firm. Return offenders are clearly warned before drastic action is taken. Neither the users nor the owners if the site need negative attention.
Question: Are there better defined guidelines regarding "Photoshopping"? Is merely brightening a photo in violation of the "enhancing" policy? On some pix I've downloaded, changing the contrast, redefining the white point or adjusting the gamma midpoint has made the image more visible. This works with photos that are too dark or heavily backlit to the silhouette. Brightening the pix would make the subjects in this thread apparent to the viewer.
I am not talking about altering to the degree of "X-ray". But several times I've been tempted to "correct" and repost pictures as a public service. You might be surprised to see the carryings on in those dark backgrounds!
Any answers will be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
