"French kissing" is a term used in English to mean kissing with tongues, as opposed to just with the lips. I think it's meant to be because the French had the idea first, but that seems kind of odd. I think the French term for it translates as "soul kissing" or something, which is a lot more elegant. Anyway, hope that clears it up.
