That "problem" with the thanks is something that happened to me too. As you say you can hit refresh to "set " the thanks though.

I have solved that I use the "cheat mode" and then have unlimited "thanks", much easier....only joking!!!

I do however find it useful for when maybe you just want to say thank you as an encouragement, but have nothing useful to say, or just simply unsure at the time what you want to say. The thread "Let's start a chain" is a perfect example where the "thanks" button is absolutely perfect. I will admit though that I do enjoy receiving/reading comments/messages in mine and others posters threads too. You yourself Sparky 45 are a perfect example of a good comments/message writer, as you add something worthwhile in every thread you post too
