Of course there are a lot of sand nude beaches, most of the Spanish and Greek nude beaches are sandy. Croatia has a rocky coastline and nudism is quite common there, so that may give an impression that rocky ones are the majority. Also, nudist beaches are tend to be secluded which are not long sandy beaches.
I personally like the rocky coastline of Croatia because there it's easier to find a small secluded cove where we can be alone. The seabed in these small coves is usually pebbled, not rocky so it's not that hard to go into the water.
