I was thinking the same thing when going through this thread and have to agree that it must be the water. When you look at the photos it doesn't seem to matter whether the boat is large or small or what the surroundings are like or even the age of the women. I have a small inflatable boat like this one

She is 63 and the boat is not at all romantic though where we went was very nice and she was happy to spend hours sunbaking with just her bikini bottom on. I did manage to catch 10 nice whiting but it was hard to concentrate at times!
After cleaning up we did manage to see in the new year with a bang.
