A friend of mine gave me a cheap silver compact camera as a gift so I went out and took a bunch of pictures with it and they all look like this more or less. If there is another piece of technology worse than a compact for taking candid shots I'm not aware of it. On top it's weak points and disadvantages, it's also incredibly conspicuous. There's no way to hide what you're doing, and you need to take multiple shots of a subject forcing you to linger way longer than is appropriate.
