You can tell an original, creative, fully nude naked calendar when you see one. And this obviously falls in that category. But I must have a beef with it anyway. Last year, the images came in full A4 style, printed in nice enough quality black and white. The images had a bit much contrast, but they looked good when scanned.

This year, the calendar size is still A4, but the images are smaller than A5 in the calendar. Add to that the new "sheen" that has taken the calendar world by storm in 2012. I don't know if they think this sheen makes the calendars look more "professional" (and I would prefer they look more amateur anyway), but it makes the images hard to see well and hard to scan/photograph. I just am not a fan. About 1/3rd of all the calendars this year have it. If anyone here works in printing, can you tell us what this "sheen" is exactly and why it's being used so often?

Anyway, I think the scans came out well all things considered. The images are small, darkish, and a tad grainy in the actual calendar. Not to mention that parts of photos are out of focus, or look blurry due to printing. Still obviously one of the top calendars of the year. I think the pictures speak for themselves. Not easy getting this calendar this year.
