I'll just put in my 2 cents here. As the old-timers
on the board know, I used to be a fairly prolific poster, but decided after being offered the chance to moderate to give up that hat for the most part (running out of new porn to post kinda helped there too
). There are many, many great posters on the board, though, who are doing a great job and tracking down all sorts of good stuff and sharing it.
Moderating does take quite a bit of time but I know we are all happy to help
Alex out whenever we can. While the idea of a discussion forum is interesting, I have to agree with
Wetmac that it'd probably be more trouble than beneficial. Because OCC a picture/vid posting board, it is fairly easy to ensure that things do not drift too far off-topic or to remove offensive or inappropriate material. That would be much more difficult where the board is one based on discussion and I would think it would require a much larger time committment to ensure that things ran smoothly.
The idea of having an
non-affiliated dicussion board to which OCC members can go though is intriguing, and perhaps that could be pursued independent of OCC (and be in no way affiliated with the board other than hosting dicussions about it) by someone who is willing to take up the challenge.
