I understood his sentiment- especially since his two daughters were pretty teens. He was always vigilant about their boyfriends and their choices as a good father should be. The same day he made the statement though, he embarrassed his poor wife by revealing that she makes a lot of noise in bed. (He wasn't speaking about snoring) Of course, I had to seize my opportunity: "Ya know...She's someone's daughter."
The point is: they ALL are someone's daughter whether their parents approve of their choices or not.
