- Thanks. More info always helps. To get back to your initial question, the disappearance of the citation does smack of some intervention by your wife. Still no proof that this wasn't simply a case of the cop doing a favor for a friend of his wife - without a favor (of any sort) in return. Even bad guys have good days.
I'm still curious about the phone call to you from the cop's son. If your wife called the cop's cell phone, how do you think the son knew about that at 3am? And how do you think the son came into possession of the cell phone and searched the call history to determine your home phone? The cop likely took the cell phone to work. That's why we have them.
The teenage son made a very bold and intrusive move by calling your number at that hour. Extremely unusual. I'm thinking something was cooking in that household that made him feel a necessity to violate so many social conventions at once. Any thoughts?
