BUxBC did an amazing job this year with their calendar. Here you can see we have 4 amazing pictures of the KingDavid variety, one shower picture, and one lockerroom picture. I love a well done boXat club calendar, and I don't think it gets much better than this (well, NewcXastle BoXat 2010 was pretty freaking great too). The pictures this year appear to be printed a bit darker and higher quality than last year. My only complaint photography wise would be to have less contrast in the images, they come off as a bit harsh. I chose the "softest" of each of many photos I took for each pic below. I guess color would be nice as well, but it seems this genre of calendar is always done in black and white. I don't know what the first rowiXng calendar was, but they must have set the template of which other clubs soon followed: Black and white, full nudity, lockerroom pictures, specific types of shots, etc. If anyone knows of any very early calendars of this type (pre-2003ish) I'd be interested, as I like to try to track the social and semiotic construction of the various genres of calendars where possible. As this is a double-sided calendar, I'll have the other pics up in a bit!

What a fantastic set of photos. Probably the best of this genre out there. Nothing overtly sexual. Just beautiful girls going about their business. Great captures of the physical form. I say we petition the Olympic board of governors and request that the rowing events be held in the nude.
