If I had done it intentionally, I might have felt differently. I think I just zoned out and wasn't paying attention to my surroundings until it was too late. When you're in a foreign country, and you're breaking the law, and lots of people are giving you dirty looks, it's not a lot of fun. A girl might have received different reactions, of course.
