ENF on TV shows you wouldn't expect

Does anyone remember the following comedy sketch? I find absolutely no mention, let alone a vidcap, of it anywhere in ENF cyberspace. Never talked to anyone else who remembers it. Makes me almost wonder if I imagined it, or at least if my memory is exaggerating how risque it was.

The Tonight Show, I'd say around the mid 80's or so. Johnny and Ed are airport security manning a metal detector. A woman keeps setting off the detector, and as she walks back and forth through it they make her take off one piece of clothing each time. She's either facing the camera (and live audience) or has her back to us, depending on which direction she's passing through the detector. Johnny finally says that the latest beep is due to the hooks of her bra. She takes it off (yeah: on stage on the Tonight Show) with her back to the audience and walks back through the detector. It finally does not beep, so she takes her pile of clothes from Ed and, holding it at chest level in front of her boobs, walks through the detector facing us and then exits. I seem to remember the actress scurried away as if she genuinely wanted out of there pretty quick. A woman openly laden with weapons then walks up, setting off all kinds of lights and sirens, but because she's old and ugly they just wave her through.

I seem to remember the young woman's bottoms were not a bulky girdle or a slip, or the more neutral look of swimsuit bottoms, but a genuine pair of butt-hugger panties. Plus the fact it was the ONLY thing she was wearing by the end of the skit in front of the live audience. You just didn't see that kind of thing on non-cable TV almost thirty years ago. Yeah, on a movie they would be airing, but not on a nightly episode of a network talk show. I remember thinking "Wow -- did I just see that?"

I don't suppose anyone has copy of this? Heck, has ANYONE other than me ever seen it? Am I remembering incorrectly how scantily clad she really was?

Wasn't that scene in one of the Airport movies in the 80s

"Airplane II" had a scene with a magic video monitor that made the women walking through the metal detector appear topless. There was also a similar sketch to the one described by miss phipps on Saturday Night Live, done with Sharon Stone I think, but she only got down to underwear.

Thanks, Craze, at least now I know I wasn't imagining it. Like I said, you just didn't see that sort of thing on network TV almost thirty years ago. American TV anyway.

I doubt very much that you're watching this thread 4 years later, Anne, but I thought I'd throw in my 2c. A sketch matching your description appeared on John Byner's Bizarre, right down to the actress's speedy exit. Hopefully I've managed to attach a screencap. You said you specifically remember Johnny & Ed so this may not be it, or maybe this was a "now with actual broadcast nudity" homage!
(I only found this thread because I was looking for you and any new stories you may have written! Your stripsearch account is one of the all-time best and I recall you mentioning you were thinking of a spot of "life modeling" to recapture that ENF feeling!)
