Does anyone still search for pics on Bearshare or similar?

Just wondered as I have always (up until a year ago or so) used Bearshare, but for some reason all of a sudden it went crap almost overnight.

Before if I did a search on dsc00001 for example I would perhaps get around 280-310 results from both Bearshare and Limewire users, but now if I do the same search using the same Software (Bearshare 5.1.0b25) which allows forced Ultra Peer (most search results) I get around 1-10 results which is no good for finding new pics.

So is anyone using either Bearshare and Limewire and still getting a large amount of results?

Cheers

No Your not on your own cs3007

It's now becoming widely excepted among p2p finder's that the Gnutella and Gnutella 2 network's day's are numbered :(

Myself and others experienced the same drop in search result's as you did, and at present I can't see a viable alternative to Bearshare Limewire ..etc which is a real shame.

If anyone knows of or use's another application for searching for original find's please post your experiences here.

Thankyou.

I tend to use Emule, not seen a noticable drop in that p2p networking.

The good thing about searching BS/LW was that everyone uses either one of these, so there was more chance of finding genuine private finds (shared by accident in my docs :)).

But with other P2P like Emule, not many people use this now, so can't see any chance of finding anything on there, but I could be wrong?

Hope something happens to revive the search results, as I really miss my hunting, even if I don't have as much time as a few years ago.

Cheers

i have always used frostwire which is a limewire clone and i will say its slow until its sorted its self out.

it seems you need to let it log its self into the network (or reg with the servers or something) i dont know a huge amount about these things tbh.
but it does seem to work alot better after you leave it for 10-15 mins.

and i also find it works better at certain times of the day best for me is over night (uk time)

what sort of pics are you looking to stumble onto may i ask?

Wasn't bearshare set up by some polive force, to catch illegal downloading..? Ive never used it or limewire as torrents have taken there place!
