This just in - nude photo of Madonna taken in 1979 fetches $37,000 at Christies Auction. OK, now for free, you can view this photo online at Christie's website. You can even zoom in if you want, take screen shots of different portions of the zoomed photo, stitch them together in Photoshop, and wind up with a reasonable reproduction of something someone paid $37,000 for. Sound like a good deal? This is the internet age we are living in now. The internet both cheapens and makes naked photos more desirable to own. This is how the market works. Images get popularized throug internet exposure, and a collector base gets established. Then the rarer pics among them become highly sought after, and worth big money. Think about it. I'd love to think pics I took at Renn Fayre might be worth a lot to someone someday if I withhold them from the net. But anyway, now I wasn't sure if it was Ok for me to post the Madonna photo. After all, it was from the official auction website. And it does show her private parts, or at least her private hairy areas behind which lie those parts. But then I found out that I already had the pic in question obtained from a different source. So here it is - for free, a pic someone shelled out 37,000 dollars for to obtain the original. I'll take the repro any day, thank you...

This pic and others from the same shoot have been posted all over the net since the mid 90's, same res if not higher than this one!!

From a pornographic view, what makes this pic different?

I don't know the original set that well, but I would guess that this is the most explicit pic among the original 1979 photos. And because this is Madonna at her most youthful - I mean combine explicitness with youth and the fact that she is such a big star now. That means that among celebrity nude photos, it probably ranks as one of the top pics of all time. Worth $37,000? Yeah, maybe to an obsessed, wealthy fan....

yeah it prob is the most explicit..2 or 3 others rank close behind

and yeah i also agree about the pic ranking up there amongst the best celebs, but like i said it's been floating around prob since the net started.

I remember buying the mag when it was released again in the mid 80's after she became a star...this was huge back then...and not wanting to get caught with it, i threw it away after a good long perve.....ohh how times have changed

Well for the $12 you must have bought it in the 90's, because back in the 80's it was only $4 or $5. :) Anyway only a few of the pics from this particular photographer were published in the 85 magazine. The rest of over 30 pics were later published in the 90's in a book on it's own i think.

She's actually had at least 3 different shoots(see below) from the 80 odd pics i've seen, and that's not counting that erotica book she made....i'd gather the rest were taken pre mid 80's as well
