Can anyone post the Persil commercial where the naked castaways lose their clothes?
 

I heard of an ad for Persil where contestants on a "Cast Away" gameshow use the detergent to hang their only set of clothes to dry, then run after the clothes naked in panic when they blow away.

Does anyone have a free link to this?

I'm pretty sure some have been looking for that clip for years.

Well, if anyone's willing to shell out $30 bucks, it's at that Coloribus site. Otherwise, it's just not available for free on the Internet. :(

It's not just shelling out $30 . . . I tried to join that site once, with the plan of doing a thorough scan of it and getting everything off within a month, but they won't even take your money off you unless you can activate your account through an email address you paid for. Stupid people.

Anyway, there's good news and bad news on this request . . . the good news is that I've remembered I actually have this advert on an old computer in Britain. The bad news is that I'm living in Korea for the next ten months.

That's OK. We can wait. September 2009. I'll be there... :cool:

At long last, here is the famous, much sought-after Persil/Hotpoint commercial with the naked Castaways. What I love about this one is that it's pretty much a perfect idea, and it must have been really fun to make. Only shame is that the pretty blonde doesn't appear naked.

With all of the description, I never expected there to be actual nudity. Thank you so much for capping and posting this, karaban!

. . . a higher definition version of this advert. I would love if one day a longer version of this ad appeared on the web, but sadly I think this is it. One minor note about one of the participants - the woman with the green wellington boots on in the middle of the group shot is an American actress who lives in Ireland, and her online CV from the actors guild prominently links to a copy of this video. I wonder if she's ever been hired on the strength of her bum before?
