Photographing a model- just an FYI
 

Just a heads up really- There are lots of good models available at the moment who would be happy to pose for an photoshoot (ENF style or whatever)- rates would start from about £50 for the shoot at the moment. Basically, it is affordable and easy to book a model . I'm booking a couple of outdoor shoots, although I personally don't share pictures . Models, of course, would prefere that the photographer kept the pictures private. However, many will be happy to sign a release, giving you the rights to the post the pictures wherever you like!

Most of the models who do this are just amateurs, doing it for a bit of extra cash. Its great fun, and a good buzz- plus you can get a self-taken and self directed photo series!

Have you managed to find a model yet who is both willing to show her face and have the pictures posted online?

The photographer always owns the copyright on their images and may do what ever (s)he wishes with them, sorry its a bug of mine, so many models now try to charge for a release which is there to protect them.


Magazines look for a release to protect themselves as well as proof of the models age, however if you shoot an image you can display it anywhere (within reason, using common sense)

whatever about the states that is the legal position in the UK & Ireland

Firstly, yeah, the photographer does indeed have the right to the pictures. However, when I approach people for a shoot part of the negotiation is that we agree that the pictures won't be used online (or whatever.) Put bluntly, it is cheaper if the photographer agrees to keep the pictures private.

That said, many models are happy to let me do whatever I choose with images. What is quite common is for photographers to upload to directories that can be accessed with a free password.


To elaborate- I wasn't (just) talking about myself- if anyone fancied shooting the "dream set" , it can be done cheaply- and it is wonderful fun! Also, chat to the model- and if you and her are comfortable, they can be shared on sites like this one.

Can I post some links to directories? Let me know- there are several good ones around, some more "adult" than others.

http://www.purestorm.com Free to join, as long as you have some pictures on your profile you have done yourself- basically anything you ahve taken is good. Does have a section for adult work (open leg nude) etc, but is geared towards serious photography rather than thrill seekers.

Thats a few, anyway- just check out the Adult work board on pure storm for example, people do offer some nice deals.
