Download speed?

Did a cap on download speed get implemented? I've been seeing downloads take a LOT longer lately...

No. We haven't put any caps on download speed.

Monday is always our busiest day of the week, so I wouldn't be suprised if things were slightly slower today.

Thanks,

Talking about being slow, for me the whole site has been very slow at least yesterday and today. It took for example 25 secs when I clicked "post a reply" before it showed up.

EDIT: It took 1m20s when I clicked submit reply...

anybody else havin trouble with download speed no matter what time they are trying. i mean i never intend that i would get full speed for me here (600 kb/s) but around 30 kb/s is really a bit slow. at least around 150 as it was in the past and i wouldnt feel the need to make a post about it.

Seems I am the only one having this problem. :(

I know it's not my PC-It's slow on my laptop too.
I know it's not my security software-It's slow on my "naked" test laptop too.
I know it's not my ISP-It's slow at my girlfriend house too.
I know it's not my OS-It's slow on my daughters Mac-Book. (Don't even go there.)
I know it's not the time of day-It's slow 24/7.

So if it's not me then it must be you.

It's beyond a joke now, it's painfully slow at most times and has been for a while, not only downloads but just basic navigation around the site. I'm in the Birmingham area of the UK so I would be interested in knowing if this was regional or not.

It's getting so that I can't get no perving done let a lone Doctoring!!!

Ahh, that's much better. ;)

heat 12-03-2008 10:25 PM

nope, not better here. from europe btw too, continent though. so you can exlude the regional reason.

the navigation around the site works normal for me as far as I can tell.
