TALK about dress-down Friday. A new BBC3 show will ask people to go to work NAKED.

The plan is for cameras first to follow fully clothed employees at work and gauge their views on nudity.

Some will be asked to pose for life-drawing classes to see how comfortable they feel in the buff in public.

At several weeks the firm’s staff will all be asked to come to work starkers for an event called Naked Friday.

The idea is to look at people’s attitudes to nudity, body image and the role clothes play in office hierarchy.

In a letter inviting companies to take part in Naked Office, producers assure potential participants the project would be a “very productive day as well as a day to remember.”

You don’t say.

It’s not surprising the show is for BBC3 – the channel that loves to be different. And no, TV Biz has not been invited to take part.

This is the greatest idea in the history of great ideas. I can't WAIT to see the videos from this inevitably awesome show...

There truly is a naked revolution going on in England now, isn't there, what with "How to Look Good Naked", the WNBR, the "Great British Body", that "My Secret Body" show from a couple years back, and now this.

I am pretty sure that this became the show that had groups of workers (estate agents, hairdressers etc) doing something naked after a course on confidence building.

It seems it is a different show and is on Virgin1 in June (shame I cannot see it)

Somehow, I think it's appropriate that the Virgin channel is airing this show.

I'm looking forward to the videos that will inevitably end up online. And, man, I really hope it becomes a regular series.

edit: Found an interesting thread, containing an initial posting by the producers looking for companies to take part in the show, followed by a debate over the show's merits and appropriateness. The user onebestway is the owner of the company that ended up being featured in the show (that's actually the company's name). On the downside, it sounds like the nudity will actually be a fairly small portion of the show, as the participating workers only had to be naked "for a couple of hours at the end of the final day". Hope they shot lots of footage of that...

Well, it would be a good idea if they could provide an original angle, rather than just hammering out the cliches.

From the body shape, I would say that the only naked girl (with a shoulder bag to hide behind) in the publicity photo, could well be the girl in the bottom photo from the website.

I hope someone can video this, I cannot get all UK channels here in Spain, Virgin 1 being one of the missing ones!
