Creating a "request" section/subforum?

I don't know if it is just me or if others experience the same thing:

There seem to be more "request for this or that" threads all over the board than there used to be.

Now don't get me wrong, I don't mind people asking for pics/vids/whatever to complete their collections or fulfill some kind of fantasy...but wouldn't it be easier if these posts would sort of be "collected" in a subforum?

That way they'd all be in one place instead of being scattered around the forum here and there. Would help requesters as well as the ones willing to assist in fulfilling.

The idea for a request section is a good one.

The majority of other boards I frequent have them and they appear to work well.

If people fulfil a request it's easy enough with the latest browsers to have multiple tabs open at onece, so the "hassle" of copying and pasting the links would be of small inconvenience.

The other option is to leave the board as it is and just try and make sure that those who are requesting put "REQUEST" in big bold letters in the thread title.

Yup, that's another thought I had since I saw it on another board I do some lurking at...but looks like so far no-one really felt an urge to consider the idea any further. But then again, never change a running system. ;)
