Heads up - ENF in "Funny Games"
 

In the upcoming movie "Funny Games" starring Tim Roth and Naomi Watts, the plot is a couple of kids take a family hostage. At one point they ask Watts to strip, and she gets naked, although the movie does not state there is nudity, so I doubt we get to see it all. The clips do show her in her underwear a lot though.

its a remake of a film by the same title in 1997. I think the original had nudity, but it wasn't great, I can't remember 100%.

Whats funny is I was watching tv and saw the preview for this and didn't recognize it till that part of the preview came up, the stripping scene.


The orignal was ok, but I don't see why a remake was needed =\

the site it glitched. i'm way over 17 and i couldn't get in. it said "Invalid age of entry"

No Nudity
 

There was no nudity in original and there will be no nudity in the remake as it is a scene by scene reshoot so to speak with an "American" cast. The scene is still very good in the original but I have not seen the remake yet. The wife is made to strip in front of everyone including her son (8-10 years old) but they put a bag over his head as one of the tormentor state to "preserve modesty" or something like that.

yeah after looking it up more, the original had her wearing a semi see through bra..that was the extent of what you got to see.

Ok I figured it out. Don't use the link above. Copy it and then paste it and it worked for me.

The age thing didn't work for me either until I put my real age and name. Somehow it knows! :eek:

Susanne Lothar played the female victim in the original. There was no nudity to speak of. During the stripping scene they showed nothing at all. (pic sl01 and sl02) The most erotic scene showed her changing clothes afterwards. I just did some caps, cause I like Susanne :)

Not only that but the scene-by-scene remake is made by the same director: Michael Haneke, a brilliant German-born director (his "Cache"/"Hidden" was an art-house hit a while back) who's made some very disturbing films in Europe, the original "Funny Games" being one of the creepiest. Why he wanted to do an exact remake of his own film for Hollywood I have no idea, but he runs the risk of being seen as having made what one critic called "just another Naomi Watts thriller", meaningless in the American marketplace, which will do nothing for his reputation. The remake will probably sink without a trace. Way too weird for the mainstream American audience and way too tame for the torture-porn crowd.
