unique picture names, please.

I'm not sure what forum is best for this post but I have a simple request. It would make downloading so much easier if people could give quasi-unique names to their pictures. It seems like I have to rename every other pictures I click to download cuz its named 1.jpg, etc. Lots of programs have auto rename features too. thanks!

do it yourself

I think your request is a bit obscure. If people thankfully do the work to upload pictures, you can rename the pics you want to download by yourself. Enjoy the forum.

Well, here's one great example of the type of person I am referring to in my bottom line...

Tell me, cametoparty, how about you did some uploading yourself, then some more and then yet some more and showed us all how the renaming thing is done? That would make understanding your request so much easier.

In a perfect world, every file would have a unique file name so people could save and find files better.

However, I think it's asking too much for people to rename their files before they post them here. You are just going to have to organize them or rename them yourself on your own computer.

Thanks,

A contrary view

I agree that it would be great if homemade vids have somewhat unique names. However, the renaming of files downloaded from the web is a curse that needs to be stamped out. How many of us have downloaded something under one name only to find out later that it's already on our hard drive with a different one.
