aiming your thanks
I have a sense that some members are not clicking on the thank you button that they want to be clicking on when replying to posts. Anyone else notice that thanks seem to be directed sometimes at what appear to be follow up posts rather than pic posts? Its all about being careful in aiming your thanks, I guess.....
Of course, one cannot be sure what was the intent of the thanker. But if the follow up had little to say, one might wonder why it needed thanking. What may be happening is that some people are simply hitting the thanks button attached to the last post in the thread, thinking it applies to the whole thread. Just an observation... KLondike |

Good observation Klondike. We all might wanna watch it. I guess it is easy to get carried away.:o

if i've posted a vid and some kind soul has taken the time to leave words of thanks i like to let them know i've read it and appreciate their comments by hitting the thanks button, am i using it improperly or is thanking a thanker wrong? :)

But some people may be hitting the wrong button and then going away not realizing they just thanked someone for saying "nice post" when they thought they had thanked the original poster. This seems to be happening quite a bit. Maybe with time, the problem will go away... Klondike |
Just my...
...two cents: As long as there will be no Who got thanked the most? competition anytime in the future some mistaken thanks underneath the "wrong" post(s) won't hurt much. Of course we should all keep our eyes open whom we thank or for what we say thanks, but besides that a thanks in the wrong place will not cause too much harm.
Wish everyone could thank me for this post...but there's no "thanks" button in here. What a pity... :D:D:D Have a great weekend everyone! Greets, A Lurker |

I sure hope there will be no "who got thanked the most competition". :) Its easy to see what types of posts get lots of thanks, but I would hope that wouldn't influence what established posters put up on the boards. Just keep posting what you've always been posting and follow your instincts, not the crowds.... cheers, Klondike |
