.mov to .wmv or .avi
 

does anyone know how to convert a .mov file to a .wmv or .avi? i have a couple of videos to post but they are really big files and are .mov.

It is very easy but you will need a video converter to convert .mov files to other formats. Do a search for a .mov converter and you will find there are many that can do this.

I got it to work. But now its about 7 meg and only 10 seconds or so long. Do you know of a way to make is smaller?

when ever you encode a video, you need to compress with codec, and usually adjust the settings accordingly.
I usually always use divx for .avi but if your converting to .wmv,, there's quality settings which you can choose from. Also check that the sound is compressed. mpeg layer3 is good and you can change the setting for compression on that aswell.
