Help in joining mpgs and avis
 

On a number of web sites there are videos that are split -- xxx.avi001, etc. How do you reassemble these segmented vids?

If I understand the question correctly, it sounds like you need HJSplit to assemble the videos.

heres what to do
 

the clips that are split and have file extention ending with .avi001 are split with a small program called HJ split.
You need to make sure that the files are all saved with correct file extention numbers at the end, because windows will sometimes rename them when you download.
