What the hell are they supposedto be trying to sell in that first ad? Balloons? Watermelon? Lingerie? A phone service? Or something else entirely?

One of my favorite ads. The best thing is that these girls were REAL cowgirls, not models. They did live appearances on shows like Oprah (in their underwear). One girl (the one in the denim jacket, I think), gave an interview, and discussed how embarrassed she was at their first photo shoot. She basically said they walked in, and were told to drop their jeans. Even though these girls were everywhere back in the mid '90's, I can hardly find a thing about them. Anyone have more photos/videos? You'd think there'd be something on Youtube, at least.

Just a bit of trivia; I'm fairly certian that that chiropractic machine in the ad, was made by scream queen Linnea Quigley's father. I read somewhere that he's considered to be the "father" of chiropractic medicine. In fact, that may be a young Linnea, on the machine (probably not, but it's possible).

Amazing collection - there is not a lot that was really better in "old times" - it was only different, and we (the old guys, wearing too often the faked nostalgic glasses) were only younger and in best sense naïve...


But that style of ad - that's missing today - imagine all the shit storm it would start "today" even in public (not only that typical "social media" hater stuff) media.
