How can I decrease the size of a picture?

I got several sets of pictures more than 60 on each one. Unfortunately or fortunately most pictures are more than 1MB in size each, I really wouldn't like to go and edit one by one in order to decrease their size. Is there any method anyone could suggest to edit a bunch of pictures and decrease their size?

Thanks!

You could alway's zip your files, and upload one or two photo's as a preview.

The easiest, fastest way is using the "Image Resizer" powertoy from Microsoft

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx

Even if you leave the image at high resolution (e.g. full screen) using the powertoy would reduce the size of the image.

After installation you just need to open the directory and right-click on the image and choose resize image... you can do a batch too.

Cheers :D

i'd recommend irfanview, which is more than just an imageviewer. I't has batch convert mode, too.

But i'd also vote for zipping the pics up (you can also make a thumb with all pics with irfanview)

do a search on google for "image resize" and look for the microsoft link. You can download a microsoft program, and once its installed, all you do is right click on your picture icon, then select resize. You will get 3 oprtions for size. When you resize it,, there will be a copy of the original pic, but made smaller. You can also highlight all the pics in a folder, and resize them all in one go.
