Seeing Fango's thread about a comedienne (free sites) got me thinking about starting a thread. Trouble is, there aren't too many pics of comediennes. But there are pics of babes laughing out loud. Here are a few. I'm not including Webshots type pics - just typical ams. Contribute at your leisure :)

Man, there's nothing sexier than a smiling/laughing, naked woman. I'm curious though what you consider to be the difference between a "typical am" and a "Webshots pic". I was under the impression that Webshots pics were of "typical ams". :confused:

They are :) Its just my way of categorizing things. Webshots pics are "community ams" to me (as in photo sharing community). Pics off of amateur submission sites are "typical ams". I got it all worked out in my head (and they don't generally mix in my folders) Trouble is, it doesn't always make sense :)

If you think about it though, Webshots babes aren't really "amateurs" at all. An amateur is someone that does something that the pros do, only for free. In this case that something is model (generally naked) for the camera. But Webshots babes (at least the naked ones) aren't usually modeling at all - they're either just posing briefly on the spur of the moment or are in the way of the camera. Since no pros do this (you'd have to sneak up on a babe, snap her pic and then hand her money), they cannot be "ams"!

Come to think of it, there are guys walking around Florida with cams in one hand and a wad of bills in the other...

But the term "amateur" is generally associated with a profession, although it is not always stated outright. A word like "plumber", "baseball player" or "model". If Webshots babes are "amateurs", then what is that other word? Not "model" because they are not modeling. Just because they are not getting paid does not make them amateurs!

I'm so sorry, Fango......I have too much time on my hands....:(

Actually, it's a whole lot simpler than that:

Pros= Models who do it for a living
Ams= Everybody else, especially "real girls", from places like Webshots and elsewhere. Everybody else can even include girls who "get paid" as a one time thing.

Remember, we're dealing with connotations here, not denotations. "Amateurs" is just a catch-all term for anyone who isn't a pro.
