This is from a UK show, where participants of a quiz show would remove their clothing. It is my understanding, that the show never went beyond participants being in underwear. But in this instance, a participant didn't wear a bra.

I think the host of the show was more embarrassed than she was!

Here are some vidcaps.

It was from a (new at the time) live late night show called OTT (Over The Top) which was supposed to be a more grown up version of the Saturday morning kids show TISWAS.
The host, Chris Tarrant, was embarrased because,the show went out live and they had already been warned about doing anything too naughty.
I remember watching it at the time( it must have been around 1980 or so) and Tarrant spent the next five minutes or so apologising for what he swore was this "totally unplanned" occurance.
However, the TV regulatory body at the time still received so many complaints from" Disgusted from Tunbridge Wells" and the like that the show never really recovered.
The show then went very "safe", which really went against the viewers who only actually watched it to see exactly this type of thing, and the show died of natural causes shortly afterwards.
Not that this did Mr.Tarrant any harm. He has been on TV & radio ever since. He ,in fact,currently does a show that finds clips exactly like this and worse, from all around the world, to show to the british public.
Ironic, wouldn't you say?

I remember OTT (Over The Top), I used to have to ask to stay up late to watch it and had to endure my parents watching with me. It really was quite naughty for the time!

It was a very odd project really... it was like you said just saturday morning kids TV show Tiswas moved to late night, but had pretty much the same line-up of hosts (Tarrant, Bob Carolgees, Lenny Henry etc). And they still had cartoons, but they were adult cartoons. It was all very Carry On style smutty humour.

But no, I don't remember this clip. Brings back a few memories though :)

i never forgive myself the night the red hot chilli peppers were on the show, they were unheard of then in the uk and were getting to much for james whale to handle, cleo rocos was standing behind them,they were sitting on a sofa and were asked to leave they started swearing and security were called to escort them off as they walked past cleo one pushed over the back of the sofa, there she was legs held up in the air holding herself up by her arms trying to stop her head banging on the floor and both breasts flopping out of the top of her dress and no tape in the machine :eek:
