General Chat Forum - question for Alex
 

This is to Alex just wonderin I think it would be great if there were a General Chat forum where everyone could just talk about whatever, I love it when there is a forum dedicated to whatever where people can just talk about anything and everthing get to know one and other introduce themselves and things like that. It might get people to post more and stuff like that. Dont know if there is a specific reason for not having one but I think it would be awsome if there was on here, this section is great but if there was a place for people to chat and ask dumb questions you never know what you might get outta it. Just a suggestion but hey I love this site no matter what

This idea has come up in the past. We are still considering this in the future, but there are a few reasons we don't have a "General Chat" or "Off-Topic" forum. The biggest reason against the idea is that it would be another forum to moderate. If we had such a forum, we would want it to follow the rules and also the spirit of the rest of this site. I wouldn't want it to be a place where people could argue or discuss their religious or political views. There are much better places people can do that and I wouldn't want to waste my time moderating or take away the focus of this site which is simply sharing great photos and videos.

thats a great point, this site is great because there is just so much content and new content being posted ever day Im sure that your job is hard enough as it is. Moderating a whole other forum would be tough, and your right people do tend to get outta hand in some of those "General Chat" forums. I guess the negatives out weigh the positives on this one :). Oh well :) just a thought keep up the good work Alex.
