What codec is this video i've tried everything ?????

Sorry about that, it's the ffdshow compressor, get it here.

From the website: ffdshow is DirectShow and VFW codec for decoding/encoding many video and audio formats, including DivX and XviD movies using libavcodec, xvid and other opensourced libraries with a rich set of postprocessing filters.

Clears up choppy and hanging Xvid videos on my machine.

The vids I have of the bikini show were shot on DV, before I had a firewire card. Unfortunately, I no longer have the master tape, just the mpegs I capped thru an outboard Dazzle box in mpeg1. Some of the files are too large to post here in mpeg format, so i have been trying to get them down to size. Divx is OK, but the quality suffers. I'll try Xvid next I guess. But try the ffdshow compressor. After the install, the vid should play just fine. If not, I'll try something else.

OK, try this one. If it works for everyone, I'll use it for the rest of my mpeg to avi conversions.

i already had the ffdshow on my system and it still did not work...............
