Massive VHS Archive Project
Posting this here since I think it’s the best fit and think it would be of interest to likeminded folks.
Not going to link it directly but check out the attached screenshot. Back in the 80s and 90s, this guy took it upon himself to archive 20,000 VHS tapes of various shows from TV and cable. More recently, another guy is taking those tapes, digitizing them and uploading them to archive.org. So far 2000+ tapes have been uploaded, which is probably 25,000 hours of content. And that’s only 10%! Now the reason for the post is you can help them speed the process along and even make requests via their patre*n page. All the details are easily findable via the screenshot I attached. I’ve started going through some of the tapes already uploaded, but it’s a very time consuming process. I’m hoping that one of these days my holy grail program will be captured and uploaded. If interested, check it out and consider a small donation to help them offload the costs. Sorry if this is in the wrong place and/or I inadvertently broke a TOS. Happy hunting. |

And of course I forgot to upload the screenshot.

Thanks for sharing this. I have a batch of old VHS tapes I've been meaning to go through and digitize the ENF/EUF scenes, but just haven't had time. I've got a list, I'll see what I can pull off of this (when I have time).
