Dear OCC Staff,

I have been a free member for as long as I can remember. I love OCC. Over the years, I have been entertained by the board. This forum is great in so many ways.

One challenge I have experienced over the years is the public nature of the board. Almost a decade ago, I posted a smugmug ling to a photographer that I loved to follow. I deciphered his password methodology & shared with the forum.

Almost immediately, the photographer found my post and unfortunately, the well was dry from that point forward. I squandered my source of local beautiful models by posting in a foolish way.

I know that the smugmug & boudoir threads strongly encourage the way in which links are shared. I do not believe it is bullet proof and recently another cherished photographer caught wind of her vulnerability.

Is there any way to make the smugmug & boudoir threads behind a paywall or some other qualifier? Trust me, I love the content I enjoyed from these threads, however, as an aficionado, opportunities are getting thinner and we keep shooting ourselves in the foot.

Any consideration is appreciated.

Totally agree there should be something protecting threads where these links are.... I have had the same thing happen to a few items I've posted
