Hobbyist Photographer: Art-Nude & Erotic shoots I have been doing
 

Hi Everybody! In late 2019 I bought a new digital DLSR camera wanting to get back into photography again as a hobby. I hadn't done much photography since college (mid 1990's) after my old film camera was stolen during a move. I majored in art in college and worked for about a decade as a graphic designer. I have never done photography professionally though I was once pretty handy with Photoshop (very rusty now). So keep in mind that I am an amateur as a shutterbug, not making money doing these photos. Actually I am spending too much on this,,,, ha ha.

I decided I wanted to start shooting some female models, in art nude and erotic poses. Some advice I got was to hire an experienced model for my first shoot which I did. It was good advice because she was great, needing little direction so I could work on getting used to a real camera again. It was great fun and a good first experience!

Most of my models are professional or at least part time paid models. Some are traveling models who tour the country regularly. I live in the Chicago area so most that do visit the city at least once a year or so. Finding amateurs models is a pain to arrange and so far have not really worked out yet. Hopefully I will find more of those in the future to broaden my portfolio.

So I will share with the forum some of the images I have shot. Sorry there won't be stories of having sex with the models because that doesn't actually happen.... But I will tell a bit what it's like to shoot these photos.

So I will start with a single photo of the third model I shot, to get this thread started.

I think we will stick with the models that pose nude (some don't, so I won't bother with those here).

This is the first hired model i shot. Lets start with some lingerie etc. Bring up the nudes later on :D Shot in a long stay hotel, it has a living room kitchen combo, a nice master bedroom with a king bed with a pair of french door, and a nice bathroom. Pretty good for a hotel room. Hotel rooms are about the easiest location to find to use for a shoot. Not always the easiest to use for a shoot though. But you manage.

Good locations can be harder to find than models to be honest. You can't just shoot anywhere, especially when your shooting nudes. So you have to be creative at times with what you got.

Looks terrific but if there is no story and only a photo essay, however cute, why not post in one of the Photo sections rather than here?

They don't really seem to fit any of the photo sections. They (the models) aren't embarrassed, upskirts or downblouse, not exhibitionists or voyeur shots, not amateurs or hardcore either. I will tell a bit about what is going on as it goes along, so it seems this is the best section for it. Not really a section for this type of photo to be honest.

It actually can, and does happen, just not like in the pornos. It takes a good setup, and a lot of alcohol helps lol. If that is your goal, it helps for have an 2nd, "overwatch" camera going to catch the action when the photographer(s) get distracted and stop taking pictures....

Getting a model's legs open
 

Throw-back to my wild & mis-spent youth (that was a long time ago), getting girls & women to "model" for me was a pretext to getting them naked, and sometimes having sex with them. I am a (very) amateur photographer, and it is just a fun game I have done for going on 35 years.

Models off the street I always treated with kid gloves, did not push too hard, but certainly laid the opportunities out there.

Models that are known (such as a friend's wife) can be assessed by pushing more directly. Shamelessly taking your own shirt off while stating that your intention is to make them more comfortable with their shirt off is an age-old tactic. Choice of alcohol was always offered in abundance, and of course the praise it heaped on. Progression of the photographs should be slow and comfortable as possible, but if you can get a model to open her legs for the camera, letting you take full-on sn*tch pics, chances are that sex is on the table.

These days I do very little of the camera work, transitioning to showing other guys how to do it using my own wife as the model. Granted, she caught on to our wicked ways pretty quickly... :rolleyes:

I did start to do some art nude / erotic photoshootings with female models a few years back. I like to be around naked women, so I usually book them for a couple of hours. Usually I rent an Airbnb and just shoot lot's of poses/scenes. What I found astonishing is the variation of their level of exhibitionism.
Some models are almost emberassed throughout the whole shooting and feel uncomfortable, others are totally at ease, sitting at the table bottomless, legs spread/open pussies while enjyoing a coffee break with you...

Not sure if anyone enjoys reading about shooting situations, or behind the scene stuff...

Just found this forum. Pity it never got more inputs. I have worked with many amateur models on photoahoots and probably have sex/fun with about 20% of them.
I have paid for a few professional models when i first started and having someone who doesn't need direction and can pose themselves is great when practising but i enjoy the thrill of working with a newcomer and bringing them out of their shell.
I have recounted some of my sessions with the ladies and couples i have met in other forums, but enjoy hearing other peoples stories about their own ohotographic sessions
