Found a deceased family member's pictures

I was not sure where to put this. It did not quite fit the seeing family thread and I almost put it in the seeing things you are not supposed to thread but I would like to know if anyone has similar experiences and thought it was a bit unique. First a little background... As I have said before, I now own the homestead/ranch that has been in the family since the late 1800's. The original wing of the house is over 120 years old. I have a storage building built in the 1940's that has stuff that has been left from generations past and from time to time collects more family treasures. There are boxes and boxes of pictures in there among other things.

Last year my aunt who I was very close to died unexpectedly. She had no kids and was divorced. She was not very close to her siblings and I guess they figured I was the closest to her so they brought all of her stuff to my house and it went in this out building. It sat there for about a year before I decided to go through it last week. She had hundreds of pictures of her cats and flowers. There were pictures of me and my cousins as kids and all kinds of other stuff.

Here is where it gets interesting... There was a boot box (like a larger shoe box) that was full of nude pictures. I did not go through all of them but there were pictures of her with several different guys and by herself. Some were hard core and others were just posing, in the shower, dressing, and stuff like that. Most of them seemed to be from the late 70's and 80's with maybe a few into the 90's. More than half were polaroid and some were printed. I feel creepy saying this but she was a looker back in her day. She had quite the black bush in the earlier ones. I am talking thick like the old Demi Moore photos. She was trimmed up in some of the later ones. I felt weird looking through them like I was disrespecting her and put them away. I have not decided if I am going to save them or throw them out. Don't ask me to post them... even though she is gone, I cannot do that to her.

I started going through boxes that had come from other relatives as well. I found a box with a scrapbook from a great aunt (different one than above) who worked at an embassy in South America in the late 1940's to early 1950's. There were some black and white topless beach pictures of her in there.

I know this is not that exciting or thrilling but I thought it was worth sharing. Has anyone else ever been in a similar situation where you end up with photos of deceased relatives? What did you do with them? Did they turn you on or was your reaction more like mine? Have you thought about this for yourself? I know I have. As a firefighter I see people die unexpectedly almost daily. I make sure that I do not leave anything I would not want my kids to see where it would be found. I know if my aunt knew I saw those pictures she would be mortified.

She may have left them behind for you to enjoy and appreciate after she was gone with no risk of embarrassment to her . Keep them and enjoy privately without sharing.

Special Delivery

When my father died me and my brothers and sisters helped mom with packing up some of his stuff for charity and just clean up. Dad always had playboys and porn, hell the playboy was left in the living room until he finished reading it. While cleaning up his stuff I found naked pics of his girlfriends he'd had from the 60's to the 80's. I put them into a pile with his old military stuff and liberated them so there'd be nothing said. It was about 20 polaroid's and 20 printed pics. Dad was a mailman and I guess he did plenty of special delivery.

If you get Covid....

If you get Covid, the first thing to do is get rid of all the stuff you don't want your relatives to find, then call the doc.

She had no idea she would be killed by a drunk driver. Also she had no idea I would end up with her stuff. I only got everything because I have the dead family member dumping ground and the family had pretty much disowned her because she was different (the vegetarian pacifist in a family of ranchers and military). Their loss for being narrow minded.

I will keep them for now but I do not see myself "enjoying them". I just don't see her that way.

A few years ago my sister-in-law and mother-in-law were in a horrific car accident, my sister n law Julie was killed, and my mother-in-law Joan was badly hurt and required surgery after surgery and was in the hospital for weeks.

When Joan got out of the hospital, she refused to go into a nursing home, so it left my wife to take care of her... Between work and taking care of her mom, my wife was mentally and physically drained.

At the time I was working all the overtime I could because we were paying Joan's mortgage and all her bills, on top of our own...

On top of that, we only had like 10 more days to all of Julie's stuff out of her apartment... On the verge of a breakdown, she asked if I would mind boxing up her Julies stuff and clearing out her apartment.

So one evening after work I went over and spent all night packing boxes. At about 1 am my wife called, she could tell how tired I was, so she suggested I just stay the night there. It felt really weird, but I was so tired I decided that it was too risky to try driving the 45-minute drive home.

That night, I had a dream about making love to Julie... It was VERY erotic and felt so real, so real that I woke up while ejaculating in my boxers. I remember laying there trying to catch my breath when I realized the light flashing on Julie's desktop. I knew it was wrong, but I had an overwhelming urge to see if I could log into it.

I guess because she lived alone she didn't feel the need to password-protect her computer, and I was quickly able to gain access to her computer. I think we all know what I was looking for, and it wasn't really hard to find. I quickly emailed myself the pics, then deleted the folder the pictures were in, and removed all evidence that I was on her computer at all...

I had the pictures saved in a folder that was buried in several other folders and I was sure nobody would find them. My wife used my computer every now and again, but never snooped around on it... but she was going through a memory card one day, and I guess turned back on the recently viewed option in file explorer or whatever, and since I didn't know that, I didn't try hiding my tracks... Let's just say we had a pretty awkward conversation after she found nude pics of her dead sister on my computer...

That would be a super awkward conversation. I would have kept them in an encrypted flash drive or something. I think my wife would shoot me. I would be out in the bunk house for sure.

Tat said, I have a sister in law I would LOVE to get my hands on pictures like that of. She is quite the MILF

For some reason when I read "special delivery" I got an image of Mr. McFeally from Mr. Rodgers' back in the 1980's popping into my head... that was "speedy delivery" but still.:p

Ok I have never engaged in this type of off topic discussion on this site but since you guys went there... unless you are otherwise compromised or elderly, you are statistically more likely to die from a car crash even unvaxed. Maybe you should be getting rid of that stuff before you get in a car. I see people die almost on a daily basis from all kinds of things but the biggest killer I see by far is wrecks. That is why I have a will, a trust, and keep my affairs in order. You never know when your number is up. If you are in a compromised category then you should be a little worried but the same if you get the flu. COVID is real and it is hear to stay. I am sick of all this fear mongering. If you are the type that gets the flu shot, then get the COVID shot. If you are not and don't want to, then that is your business. Contrary to popular belief the shot does not keep you from getting it and spreading it. Look up the actual scientific papers if you do not believe me rather than blindly following the media's interpretation and portrayals. Go live your life, or don't... your call.

Who knows what people/events are portrayed on these pages. Are they still with us ? Remember. A Photograph is also a record of an event as well as an "artistic" item.
